EGA Boys Team

The goal of EGA's Men's Gymnastics program is to bring our young athletes to their fullest potential in competitive gymnastics. The competitive team program puts an emphasis on discipline, perseverance, mental awareness and team unity.

Our highly experienced coaching staff is dedicated to offer every gymnast the best professional instruction in competitive USA Gymnastics. They are extremely passionate about their role in guiding gymnasts through training and helping them develop into strong, disciplined athletes both mentally and physically.

Program Information

  • Level 4: 6 hours per week
  • Level 5: 9-12 hours per week
  • Level 6 and up: 15 hours per week and up

 

Alexandr Balakirev

EGA Head Coach - Men's Gymnastics Program

Elite Level Artistic Gymnastics coach with more than 35 years of International, Regional and State level experience. Ten years of head coaching responsibilities in the United States including curriculum development and club management for competitive and recreational programs.

Vadim Balakirev

Former Competing Diver.
One of the founders and owners of EGA.
USAG Professional Member.
USAG Safety Certified.
USAG HOT (Hands on Training) Certification.
American Red Cross First Aid Certified.

Quinn Schwiesow

Former USAG Competitive Gymnast. USAG Professional Member and Safety Certificatied.

Two time Minnesota State Pommel Horse Champion. Coaching experience in Twin Cities clubs since 2003. Venture Scout through B.S.A.

 

Stephen Scoggings

Former Competitive USAG Gymnast, Elite Level. USAG Professional Member and USAG Safety Certified. Coaching experience since 2002. Started gymnastics at 2 years old and competed Levels 4 through 10. Florida State and Regional Champion at compulsory and optional levels.

Bill Abler

Bill Abler Gymnastics InstructorBill married into gymnastics when he married his wife Julie, an accomplished gymnast and coach, who is also part of our EGA staff.
Bill started coaching gymnastics in 2003. He has coached pre-school classes through Competitive Men’s and Women’s Level 7. Bill is a USAG Professional Member for Men’s and Women’s professional gymnastics and is USAG Safety Certified. He is a Certified Trainer and CPR and First Aid Certified.
