General FAQ

Parents must walk their child into the gym and make sure the child is in the right class. You may leave while the child is in class, but please be five to ten minutes early to pick them up. We will not allow the child to wait in the parking lot for a ride, they must remain in the gym and the parent/guardian must come inside to pick them up. This is for the safety of your child so please follow the rules and pick them up correctly.

If you register your child for the whole year (6 sessions) you will receive one free session ($129 value).

There is no refund or transfer of credit from one child to another, or one session to another. The lower of the two sibling prices receives a $10 discount on the class fee (not the insurance fee); for three or more children there is a $25 discount. All transactions are final.

If the child is more than 15 minutes late they are not allowed to participate in the gymnastics class and may schedule a make-up for that missed class. The reason for this policy is that the child will be missing the whole warm-up, which is the most important part of the class. Plan ahead of time to be 5 minutes early to class, and that way you will not be late.

We prefer your child wear a leotard, with or without spandex shorts. This way it will not get caught on anything when participating on each event. If you are not committed to wearing a leotard then tight, stretchy clothing with no pockets works just fine. Remember to leave your socks with your shoes so you don't slip on the equipment.

EGA staff evaluates the gymnast by what they know and how well they understand the skill, even if they can’t perform it. We also look at the child’s age and try to put them in a class so they will be around girls or boys their same age and skill level. After we go to each event and ask them to balance on the balance beam or do a forward roll on the floor, we will suggest what class we feel they are ready for, and then we will suggest a free trial class to see how they like it.
