Parent & Me Gymnastics Program

In this class our instructors work with parents as they guide their young child through obstacle courses, games, basic gymnastic skills, and other fun physical activities that keep the children actively learning while having fun!

During class, students interact with each other, their adult, and their coach. They enjoy learning useful skills while increasing their fine motor skills, flexibility, spatial awareness, balance, coordination, self-confidence, self-discipline, and listening skills. Students also learn how to take turns, wait in line, dance, jump, climb, run, laugh, roll, and even sing.

This class is held in our Tots Gym, which is filled with specially-designed, "tot-sized" equipment, obstacle courses, Tumble Trak, foam pit, and dance floor. Out Tots Gym has its own entrance, cubbies, bathrooms, and seating area.

  • What do my kids wear when participating in gymnastics activities?

Ideally, it would best if your child were to wear a leotard; However, if your child does not have a leotard, a tight fitting shirt and pants/leggings (without zippers, buttons, or pockets) are acceptable. If your child has hair long enough to fit into a hair binder, please have their hair up before he/she participates in any gym activies. Also, with your child's safety in mind, we do not allow participants to wear socks, tights, shoes, or jewelry while in the gym.

If you are interested in purchasing a leotard, please visit our Pro-Shop located in our facility.

  • What is the late policy for scheduled class?

If your child is more than 15 minutes late, they are not allowed to participate in the gymnastics class as your child will have missed the entire warm-up, which is the most important part of class. You may schedule a make-up class at the front desk if your child is over 15 minutes late (we offer unlimited make-up classes within the session of the missed class).

  • How do I register my child?

Please call the front desk to assist you in finding a class that works best for your schedule: (952) 882-9012.

If you are unsure of which class level your child should be placed in, please contact the front desk. The front desk personnel will either be able to find a class level that will most benefit your child's skill progression, or they may ask to schedule your child for a free 15 minute evaluation with one of our coaches.

  • What are the requirements for EGA's Coaches?

All of EGA's staff members are required to pass a background check. The majority of EGA's staff is safety certified, First-Aid certificed, CPR certified, and AED certified - There is always at least one staff member in the facility with these certifications; however, all coaches are required to pass the 'heads up' sports concussion certification.

We require our coaches to maintain discipline and safety standards, communicate with parents and athletes in a positive manner, and constantly undergo EGA Coaching Clinics to refine coaching techniques and safety precautions. You may find out more about our EGA staff members by going to www.elite-gymnastics.com/ega-staff.

  • How do I find out if EGA is closed due to weather conditions?

We immediately post closing information to this website and our Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/elitegymnasticsacademy. We also try to contact the local news station’s to post the closing with the school closing information.

  • Are there discounts for multiple family members?

We offer discounts for multiple family members for both our Annual Registration (Membership) Fees and Session Tuitions  The registration fee is $35 for the first family member, for the second family member it is $15, and for a family of three or more the fee is only $60 for the year. The discounts for session tuition is $10 off for the second family member, and $25 off for three or more family members. All transactions are final. There are no refunds or transfers of credit from one family member to another, or one session to another.

We also offer discounted prices for multiple siblings registering for our Special Events. Please view our Fun Activities Page on this website, our Facebook Page www.facebook.com/elitegymnasticsacademy, or call our front desk (952) 882-9012 for further information.

  • What are the promotions for registering for multiple sessions?

If you register and pay for an entire year of sessions (5 sessions) you will receive an 8-week session FREE! (6 sessions total).

If you register and pay for 3 sessions - No registration fee (up to $35 value).

If you Register and pay for 2 sessions - Free EGA T-shirt ($15 value).

    • REFER A FRIEND – receive a $15 account credit for each enrolled member!

  • How and when will my child progress to the next level?

Children learn at different paces as physical education is one of the hardest tasks to accomplish. Most students have to take the same class level for a full year as there are many skills to accomplish in a level. It takes a lot of instruction, practice, strength, and flexibility to acheive skills in gymnastics. Every level should be taken seriously as all gymnastics skills are built off of one another; moreover, there needs to be a firm foundation and understanding of the basic skills before moving on to more difficult skills.

At the end of the session your child will receive a note from their coach letting you know which level to register him/her for the next session. Please see the front desk at the beginning of the next session to receive the full report of your child's skill test scores.

If you find your child is struggling, consider having your child attend class twice a week. It's hard to build muscle and muscle memory with only attending class once a week! If coming twice a week is not something that will work for your schedule, talk to your child's coach about certain conditioning drills he/she can work on at home.

  • How and when do I schedule a make-up class for my child?

We offer unlimited make-ups within the session your child missed class! You can schedule the make-up before you plan to miss class, or after your missed class (as long as it is before the last day of the session). To schedule a make-up, please contact the front desk.

If there is not a time that works with your schedule, we offer free open gym passes that you can pick up at the front desk upon request. Please be sure to pick up the passes before the end of the session in which your child missed class.
